Wisdom Wednesday: Unceasing Spiritual Beings

Every single human being has an eternal destiny in this remarkable universe that God made. God’s desire is that all would share in his love. Not just you and those you love, but also the people that annoy you, even those you consider your enemies, those set on doing you harm. Even them.

All means all.

More specifically, we are all invited into the loving communion that has always existed among the members of the Trinity. We can be caught up in that love with the triune God. And as we commune together with God, we can share that love with one another. We are invited to experience it in part now, and fully when the new heavens and new earth become reality. Then the realities not only of love, but of engaging in vast creative activity will become possible. These possibilities are beyond our comprehension at present. But our hope is that such days will come.

We can be grateful for this. We can see it as another reason to pursue unity with our siblings in Christ. And it is yet another reason to engage all we meet in this life in the spirit of Christ, the spirit of humble love.
